Expired license?

How do I renew an expired license?

From the staff at PharmTechPros: Brenda, for Registered Pharmacy Technicians in Texas, you must renew your registration every 2 years. If your registration has been expired for more than 1 year, you must submit an initial application. Renewals cost $80 and you can do them online here.

Note that if you have a trainee registration, that is only valid for 2 years. You can NOT renew this type of registration.

Also note that there are continuing education (CE) requirements. If you are a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you must do 20 contact hours per renewal period. The state of Texas waives this requirement if the you maintain certification through the PTCB. If you are a trainee, you are not required to obtain CE hours.

We have more information on requirements in Texas on this page.

Good luck!
