No. You do not need national certification to register as a pharmacy technician in Kentucky. Under Board rules amended in 2025, certified technicians can do more: they may work under general supervision, take on most tasks a pharmacist delegates (anything that does not require professional judgment), and transfer refill prescriptions for non-controlled drugs.
