technician trainee, you have 12 months to become certified.

When is registration required? Within 30 days of beginning employment.

Yes. You must submit your registration application with 30 days of
accepting employment in a pharmacy as a certified pharmacy technician or
a technician trainee.

No. Each pharmacy will train its own technicians and maintain proper records.

How often is renewal required?
Pharmacy technician licenses expire on the last day of the birth month
of the registrant, every 2 years. Renewal applications are sent
approximately two months before the expiration of the current
registration. The renewal fee is $55.
What should I do if I change jobs or change my home address? Report the change to the Board within 10 days.
